We support the fee-paying schooling of five staff children through our Staff Education Fund in order to encourage a better standard of education for them. English is a problem for these children at primary school on account of growing up in a Zulu speaking household yet they are expected to communicate at school and write all examinations in English. To assist them, we have started a registered Children’s Reading Club stocked with age and content appropriate illustrated books written by South African authors and purchased from Biblionef. Reading and telling stories to children is one of the most powerful gifts you can give them. Stories develop a child’s motivation, creativity, imagination, knowledge, curiosity and concentration.
We invite Sani Lodge guests to participate in this worthy programme.
NOT ONLY WILL YOU BENEFIT THE CHILDREN YOU WILL REALLY ENJOY YOURSELF!
Volunteer skills required
We will give you guidance on how to conduct the programme.
